A stunning music experience with the renowned New Zealand String Quartet performing "Scary Music". Aimed at children aged 5-12 years. Lyrics by Joy Cowley, music by Gareth Farr. Don't miss out on this wonderful performance.

This will be the first excursion out of the capital for the NZSQ’s brand new 2nd violinist Monique Lapins. Monique arrived in Wellington at the start of this month and has not yet seen any of the country outside of Wellington, so we’re sure she’ll be thoroughly charmed by the wonderful Wairarapa. Monique is an extraordinary young Australian violinist and although she’s still in her 20s, she’s already chalked up some impressive experience as a professional violinist, with a number of performances around Europe, Asia and Australasia under her belt. We’re looking forward to welcoming her to Featherston.

The lovely New Zealand String Quartet players are adamant they want to donate their time and talent to Featherston Booktown and so we’re thrilled that we can offer these concerts free to children, with accompanying adults only $5. For those who have already purchased tickets, please contact us with ticket details to organise a refund of the original purchase price.
