2016 has seen significant changes to the Parental Leave and Employment Protection Act. It is an aspect of the employment relationship that affects many employers and staff. The Act now provides greater leave entitlements for a greater number of eligible persons and is considerably more flexible in the administration of parental leave.

Employers must be familiar with the new provisions and understand how the Act now works to fulfill their obligations in respect of employee entitlements.

This new short course will provide participants with the knowledge to correctly advise employees of their parental leave entitlements and requirements, and to be able to administer the new provisions of the Act in the workplace.
