John Badcock draws upon more than twenty years of interaction with our land and its people in this 2004 art project.
People often pass through our lives with little consequence. Even those closest to us, we may never have studied.
“I am a painter not a psychologist,” says Badcock. “Yet throughout this series those who sat shared a part of themselves…and those emotions often find their way onto the canvas. Each has shared something of themselves for you, just as they did for me. What follows is a year of my life and the stories of all those who have passed through it.”
