Patch Lambert. Loveable bogan. Scruffy underdog. As part of the New Zealand International Comedy Festival, he proudly presents Suburban Kiwi Icon l. A thrilling and hilarious romp about growing up on a steady diet of realistic expectations. This little dreamer kicks off his solo debut at Wellington’s Fringe Bar on Wednesday the 4th of May.

Drawing inspiration from some of his most vulnerable moments, Patch crafts an open and honest journey through his life, from growing up in the Hutt Valley and struggling to understand the concept of a ‘full-time job’; to exploring game changing ideas like how some of our more dangerous animals probably need to be child proofed.

For the past three years he has been a regular performer throughout the New Zealand comedy scene and has quickly gained prominence throughout the Auckland and Wellington circuit. He has been nominated twice in the New Zealand Comedy Guild Awards (2013 for Best Newcomer, 2014 for Most Improved) and in 2015 he won the Wellington Comedy Award for Most Improved Comedian.

“Very original, very honest and very funny” – Brendhan Lovegrove, NZ Comedian

"I once had to walk 5 kilometers home after work because I spent my bus money on a pie" - Patch Lambert

"He tried to get on the bus without paying" – Barry, Bus Driver #110
