A one-day workshop for secondary teachers of English and Drama, focussing on the Shakespearean theatre form. Using texts from a range of plays, participants will work on the Pop-up Globe stage to discover first-hand the challenges and benefits of playing Shakespeare in the space for which the plays were written. With a focus on Original Practices, this workshop explores the historical context of the Shakespeare players, delving into the First Folio and playing with Cue Scripts. The day includes a tour of the theatre and participants will also receive a Young Auckland Shakespeare Company teacher’s resource book and a certificate of completion.

TUTORS: Rita Stone and Stuart Devenie
Group Capacity: 20 per session.
