This year's Portage Ceramic Awards winner, Caroline Earley, discusses her practice, the creation of her winning work Clinch VI and research into the use of digital technologies to develop form and create objects. Kate Walker will join Caroline to discuss their collaborative work, which explores the intersection between ceramics and drawing/painting practices.

Caroline Earley lives and works in the United States and returns to her base on the Kapiti Coast as often as possible. She received her MFA in Ceramics from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and taught Art in Wellington and Nelson from 1997 - 2010. Caroline is currently Associate Professor of Art at Boise State University in Idaho.

She exhibits her work nationally and internationally and was the Grand Prize winner of the 2013 Idaho Triennial Exhibition held at the Boise Art Museum. Her work has also been included in the upcoming NCECA Annual, The Evocative Garden in Portland, Oregon, the Wallace Art Awards, ObjectSpace, the San Angelo National Ceramics Competition, and the 2011 Gyeonggi International CeraMIX Biennale, Republic of Korea.
