Monday, 15 February 2016 (Approximate times: 9:00-14:00)
Tuesday, 16 February 2016 (Approximate times: 9:00-14:00)

Competition Details - This swimming event is will generally be in accordance with NZ Masters Swimming rules and on a time final basis but is non-sanctioned. Events will be seeded slowest to fastest according to the entry time submitted (regardless of gender or age). Those who haven't submitted an entry time will be seeded in the slowest heat(s). The 1500 may be swum 2 to a lane of the same gender. The 1500 and 800 will be swum simultaneously for those swimmers entering both events.

Each individual participant can enter a maximum of six individual events for the entire swim meet and a maximum of three individual events per day and a maximum of one relay per day not including the TAMS CUP relay or the Trans-Tasman Cup Relay (see separate note below). Please note that the relays are to be entered by the club coach or representative at the recorders desk before the end of warm up on the day of the relay. See relay information.

The diving pool will be available for warm-up and warm down throughout the swimming program. The main pool will be available for warm up between 8:30am and 9:00am. The main pool will be closed 1/4 hour before racing starts. The two outside lanes of the main pool will be available for dive starts and sprints during the warm up. Please do not swim back towards the starting blocks as the lanes will be one way only for safety.

All relays will be deck entry and must be with the recorders prior to the end of warm-up each day BEFORE racing starts. The order of the names on the entry form must be the order that the relay is swum in. Each swimmer in the relay team must be from the same club. Mixed relays must have two female and two male swimmers.

The TAMS Cup relay and the DSW Shield (day 2) are held between DSW and TAMS each year.

The TAMS cup is a freestyle 50m relay with as many swimmers as the team with the fewest number of swimmers that TAMS or DSW have participating in the meet. Only DSW or TAMS can win the cup but any team can be placed 1st, 2nd, 3rd. There will be no medals for this event. Other teams can enter if they can match the fewest number of swimmers required. The number of swimmers required will be clearly displayed at the results and records desk by the end of day 1. There are no conditions on male/female numbers. A ‘combination team’ may enter (teams joining together where numbers of swimmers can’t be matched from one team), however, in the spirit of the event please use all swimmers from the least number of teams rather than collecting up only the fastest.
