An all female soul, hip hop, and R&B special.

- Mahalia Simpson
- Arcee Rapper
- Yayné

Mahalia Simpson:
Growing up listening to early 2000’s R&B, 80-90’s Hip-hop and Soul, admiring her older (7) siblings taste in music, NZ singer-songwriter, Mahalia instinctively found her love for Soul and Jazz music and felt inspired to write.

Fresh from The X Factor Australia, the 23 year old initially won the judges over with her audition of Corinne Bailey Rae’s “Like a Star”. Mahalia earned a place in the Live Shows after a series of performances including her acoustic rendition of Beyonce's 'Drunk in Love' performed in front of The X Factor producer and judge himself, Simon Cowell.

Honest soulful sounds have always been her signature preferences; inspired by the likes of India Arie, Corinne Bailey Rae and Lauryn Hill.

Arcee Rapper:
Arcee Rapper is taking what has traditionally been a man's world by stride, adding her own flavour to the hip hop and rap genres. Her creativity is rich and varied, with tracks she has released ranging from club bangers to piano rap.

Fresh off a Europe tour where she opened at Fusion Festival, a six-day countercultural music and arts escapade attended by 70,000 people, Arcee Rapper is back in New Zealand and ready to bring her energy and lyrical prowess to the Wellington stage.

Yayné's undeniable stage presence is hypnotizing, enlightened by vocals that will mesmerize any crowd; from the smallest smokey nightclub to the largest festival audience.

She has the ability to blend classic smooth vocal styles with future flows and scats, using clever lyrics to keep the listener connected to what matters the most; the music. Her broad knowledge of different musical genres is reflected in her depth and ability to sing in many styles. From emotive smokey tones, to haunting cinematic vocals.

Yayné has performed in a string of shows across the world including Amsterdam, Barcelona, Berlin, London, Nottingham, San Francisco, Denver, and in Croatia at Outlook Festival 2011-2012 alongside producers Truth and Von D, on the Get Darker stage and Deep Medi boat party.
