Join us in celebrating the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo coming to town with a special outdoor screening of the animated film, Brave. Grab a rug or a bean bag, and come along for a free night of fun under the stars!

Held on Tuesday 16 February - or what we're calling 'Tartan Tuesday' - the night will being with some of Wellington's favourite food trucks serving tasty food and drink from 6.30pm. Spontaneous piper performances will also keep you entertained before the film starts at dusk (approximately 9pm).

Thinking of bringing chairs along? Please make sure they're low so your fellow audience members get a good view of the screen too.

Brave (PG-SS):
Merida is a skilled archer and impetuous daughter of King Fergus (Billy Connolly) and Queen Elinor (Emma Thompson). Determined to carve her own path in life, Merida defies an age-old custom sacred to the uproarious lords of the land: massive Lord MacGuffin (Kevin McKidd), surly Lord Macintosh (Craig Ferguson) and cantankerous Lord Dingwall (Robbie Coltrane).

Merida's actions inadvertently unleash chaos and fury in the kingdom, and when she turns to an eccentric old Witch (Julie Walters) for help, she is granted an ill-fated wish. The ensuing peril forces Merida to discover the meaning of true bravery in order to undo a beastly curse before it's too late.

Run time: 93 minutes

Wet weather:
Please note, the screening is weather-dependent. Any weather cancellations will be announced on Twitter: @Wellington_NZ.
