Taupo Roller Derby League's Huka Dolls are proud to present: The Fresh and the Furious. Taupo's first roller derby event!

In fact, New Zealand has never seen an event quite like this: 4 teams with new players will be battling it out over 6 short, 30 minute games on Saturday, 12th of November throughout the afternoon. Come cheer on your Huka Dolls as they bout against teams from the Bay of Islands (Peowhairangi Roller Derby League), Whanganui (West Coast Bombers), and Quiet Riot.

You'll be on the edge of your seats with nail biting roller derby action, exhilarating speed, intense hard hitting, skills and strategy. All teams will be playing hard in the hope to take the Inaugural Taupo Trophy.

Halftime entertainment will feature a dance routine by Taupo's Missfits.

Roller derby is a fast-paced game of skills and strategy, but a roller derby event is even more than that. This day will be a fun time for the whole family!

With guest MC Alexi Kapetaneas joining our derby announcer Dwayne Norton, you're going to be entertained!

Tickets: Are door sales only - the event is just a gold coin koha to our league.

Time: Doors open 1:30pm and the action will take place from 2-6pm.

Best Dressed:
Come dressed in Taupo's team colours of cobalt blue and turquoise or in a costume to represent any of our player names and you could take home some great prizes. There will be divisions for adults and kids!

Branded merchandise from both teams will be available for purchase, please bring cash for these as we will not have eftpos facilities on the merch table.

Food and drink: Food and Coffee trucks will be on hand to keep hanger at bay.

After Party:
After party entry is free to anyone over the age of 18 with a stamp from attending the game. Discounted drinks will be available as well as complimentary munchies and derby action on the big screens. Venue: Pub and Grub.
