Tauranga Primary Schools' Music Festival 2016 brings together 28 choirs over five nights from local Primary and Intermediate Schools embracing this year’s theme "Let's Be Friends."

Classic songs like Carol King's "You've a Friend," Bacharach's "That's What Friends are For" and New Zealand composer Brett Mackenzie's "Life's a Happy Song" are some of the favourites being performed by the mass choir.

This year’s festival is dedicated to the memory of Jocelyn Bassett-Smith who sadly passed away in January this year. Jos will always be remembered as a dedicated treasurer for the Tauranga Primary Schools' Music Festival with a passion for supporting children's singing. A lifetime friend of the festival.
