We're planting more trees at the Ralph Ballinger Arboretum on the banks of the Taylor River.

The arboretum is a collection of trees from around the world, celebrating the people from around the world who live in Marlborough. This event is organised by the Marlborough Landscape Group as part of Conservation Week.

The team from DOC and Toyota will be providing some kid friendly conservation activities. Any child participating in this event will receive a Toyota Kiwi Guardian Explorer Certificate. They can also log onto the DOC website (on the day) to receive a special Conservation Week Explorer Medal in the post.

You can also get started to become a pest detective. We’ll help you build a tracking tunnel (all materials provided), to take home and see what pests are lurking around your garden. Once you’ve done this you can gain the Pest Detective Toyota Kiwi Guardian medal.

Please bring a spade and sturdy boots. Planting postponed to Sunday 18 September if wet.
Kids! Come along and join the DOC team in the big tent and become a Toyota Kiwi Guardian!

All welcome.
