Parnell Community Trust runs an exciting programme of community classes and activities at Parnell Community Centre. Our July – December 2016 programme is now online, with flyers available now from Parnell Community Centre and other local outlets. Let us know if you'd like us to mail you a copy.

Saturday Sustainable Urban Living workshops series at Parnell Farmers’ Market. Book for workshops running from July 30 to September 10 on:
- Organic Gardening
- Creating Healthy Lunchboxes (with Wick Nixon)
- Keeping Backyard Chickens
- Urban Beekeeping
- Growing Food in Small Spaces and Composting.

Ongoing classes at Parnell Community Centre include our popular language series – French, Italian, Spanish and Portuguese and ESOL English for new New Zealanders; Pilates day and evening classes, Yoga, Tai Chi, Dance and Stretch, Painting and more.

Our social activities include bridge, mah jong, seniors coffee and chat, Step-Out walking group, film club, Scrabble, U3A Parnell and Toastmasters Club. Annual membership for social activities: One $10 membership fee, payable on joining, covers all leisure activities in 2016 except U3A and Toastmasters (independent groups). Additional small cost per session. New members are always welcome.

Parnell Community Centre has two bridge groups a week. New members are welcome to join Parnell St Johns Bridge Club on Monday nights from 7:30pm - 10 pm for a friendly game with exposure to competition Bridge, or play social Bridge with our long-standing Friday afternoon group 1 pm - 4 pm.

Welcome to Parnell Coffee & Chat:
If you’re new to Parnell, call us about Welcome to Parnell Coffee & Chat. It’s a chance to find out more about your new neighbourhood from long-time residents. Our friendly get-togethers will be held monthly. Please call us to find out the date of our next one.

Heritage Walks:
We also offer a schedule of heritage walks - both guided walks and our self-guided podcast walks about central Auckland's historic suburbs. Guided walks are available during Auckland Heritage Festival, which runs over two weeks from September through October.

Most classes and activities are held in the Parnell Community Centre (Jubilee Building) at 545 Parnell Road.

Signing up for a class or activity is easy:
- Enrol online or
- Complete an enrolment form (available online or within our printed programme) then email, post or
fax it to us; or
- Come to the Parnell Community Centre office, downstairs at the Jubilee Building at 545 Parnell Road, to enrol in person. (Cash, credit card, Eftpos and cheque payments accepted.)

- You must enrol and pay for your class before it begins. (Tutors cannot accept enrolments or payments.)
- Our class and activity fees include GST.
- A 10% discount applies for senior citizens (65+) and people with a Community Services Card.
- No discounts for casual attendance activities or annual membership fees.
- Only one discount per enrolment please.
- Receipts are issued on request or at first class.
- Material costs are not included, unless otherwise stated.
- A $2.50 transaction fee will be added to online credit card payments.
