La Casa Azul - the Blue House - is the cobalt blue home of Frida Kahlo. The building was her birthplace the home she grew up in, lived with her husband Diego Rivera for a number of years, and eventually died, in one of the rooms on the upper floor. In 1958, Diego Rivera donated the home and its contents in order to turn it into a museum in Frida's honor.

Xavier Meade presents a photographic tour of Casa Azul and the Anahuacalli in Mexico City, based on his repeated visits during his years spent living in Coyoacán (were Casa Azul is). With photos spanning the decades of his visits, this talk will provide a fascinating insight into the property that so strongly influenced Frida Kahlo in her life and her works.
