Ever wanted to write a crime novel? If so, this course is the place to start. You will receive tips on everything from how to craft compelling plots, characters and settings to developing good timing and narrative drive. You will also be introduced to a range of authors and styles and undertake guided exercises to familiarise yourself with the requirements of the genre and discover your writing voice.

Anna Jaquiery is the author of The Lying-Down Room and Death in the Rainy Season (Macmillan UK, 2014 and 2015). Her stories and poems have also appeared in many journals. She is currently working on the third book in her crime series.
