The Commitments is a 1991 comedy-drama film directed by Alan Parker. A film adaptation of Roddy Doyle's novel of the same name, the film tells a story of working class Dubliners who form a soul band.

The Commitments was voted best Irish film of all time in a 2005 poll sponsored by Jameson Irish Whiskey and launched a generation of Irish musicians and actors...

Midnight Hour is an Auckland based 6 piece band playing songs from the very popular '90s movie "The Commitments".

Long Description: This show celebrates the Motown/Soul music from the very popular '90s movie "The Commitments" and features vocalists Col Jones (Joe Cocker Tribute Show) and Andrea Clarke (Landslide - Fleetwood Mac/Stevie Nicks Tribute Show) with a stellar line up of musicians including Mark Steven on keyboards, John Treseder on guitar, Lee Cooper on bass and Cole Goodley on drums, along with a professional sound system and lighting to further enhance the show. The music is mostly up-tempo for dancing and will also include a few other songs from such artists as Joe Cocker and Van Morrison.
