As issues like global warming, carbon emissions and plastic waste become prevalent in society, many are left wondering how they can make a difference and lead sustainable eco-friendly lives that will make a difference for generations to come.

Massey University's W. H. Oliver Humanities Research Academy and Palmerston North Central Library are proud to bring you The Land: Resilience and Co-existence. This insightful and engaging three-part series will look at the relationship between people and the planet and demonstrate how civilizations across time and geographic location interact with the world.

Part one (9 June) will explore the relationship between people and the land from a cultural studies perspective.
Part two (16 June) will explore the relationship between people and the land from a Spanish perspective.
Part three (23 June) will explore the relationship between people and the land from a philosophical perspective.

Each event will include an interactive session followed by a light supper.
