Ms. E. Berg is a Dunedin based singer/writer who is best known for her strong vocals and soulful, funk/folk/blues inspired songs. This will be the first date of her mini New Zealand tour.

The Prophet Hen music is marinated in the melodic jangle of that mostly fictional 'Dunedin Sound' - think The Chills, The Bats, Magick Heads, and a little bit of The Clean. Their first album "Popular People Do Popular People" (Fishrider Records) was pleasantly received and even made a few international album of the year lists in 2013.

This will be their first gig of 2016 having replaced their bassist and drummer and in the lead up to the release of their second album mid year, "The Wonderful Shape of Back Door Keys" (also on Fishrider Records).

Finest Kiss (Seattle, US) said "New Zealand's Prophet Hens sort of came out of nowhere and swept me off my feet with their Chills meets Belle and Sebastian pop alchemy. Both of those bands are highly regarded and the Prophet Hens may be better than both."

Brian from Norman Records (Leeds, England) said "The Prophet Hens, landed squarely in both Clinton's and my own annual top ten last year. I even mailed Fishrider to heartily protest at the lack of a vinyl release."
