The annual show of jewellery and objects of vertu created by members of the Guild is an extensive showcase of different styles and materials and reflects members’ scope of experience. Some pieces are presented by intrepid beginners in the art, others by veterans. All are bound by the common joy of making.

In Situ Photo Project is a new space dedicated to photography projects in the heart of Christchurch. Exhibition starts Saturday 19th to Sunday 27th November, 9:30am - 5:30pm weekdays, 10am - 5pm weekends. Payments by eftpos welcome.

The Silversmiths Guild of Canterbury has been a place of learning, inspiration and sharing of ideas for nearly four decades. A handful of enthusiasts keen to learn more after a workshop run by an Australian silversmith in 1982 began to meet at each other's homes to further their skills. In October 1983 a room was rented in The Arts Centre and the Guild remained there until 2011. Offering evening and day classes for beginners and advanced learners, the Guild is now located at 39c Tanner Street, Woolston.
