Gather a group of friends and don your finery for your annual chance to enjoy High Tea at one of Auckland’s finest historic houses!

Situated on Mt Albert Road, Alberton is a majestic 1863 colonial mansion, furnished with an extensive collection of original artefacts. Renowned in the 19th century for its balls, hunts, garden parties and music, it provides a glimpse into a gracious Victorian lifestyle.

Once a year Alberton offers visitors the chance to 'take tea' on its beautiful verandah overlooking the garden or in the grand ballroom. Classic High Tea luncheon or a lighter Devonshire afternoon tea are served from the house's collection of vintage bone china and silverware, on tables adorned with antique linens and creative floral displays.

High Tea luncheon: 12.30-2pm $40 (3 sandwiches/savouries/cakes and tea or coffee)
Afternoon Tea: 2.30-4pm $30 (2 sandwiches/scones & cream and gingerbread and tea or coffee)

A specially selected menu of boutique teas from Harney & Sons will be on offer.

Gluten free options are available at an extra $5 per person for lunch and $3 per person for afternoon tea. Prices include entry to explore the house (usually $10). Bookings are essential. Please note that credit card and booking fees may apply.

Sorry - Afternoon tea on Friday, Saturday & Sunday and Luncheon on Sunday are now sold out. There are still tickets available for Friday & Saturday lunch (12:30). For last minute bookings please call Alberton at (09) 846 7367.
