The World Bar is turning the ripe old age of 20 this month and to help us celebrate we've pulled in the freshest act to come out of NZ this year, Times x Two.

Catch them whilst you can this Friday from 10pm.
Times x Two is a duo that was formed by best friends Cader, and Zee.

Collectively known as Times x Two, Cade'r and Zee aren't just rappers. They're beatmakers, singers, songwriters, record producers and all-round emerging young businessmen. Based in Auckland, New Zealand they create catchy-yet-thoughtful music informed by a diverse range of influences including A Tribe Called Quest, Outkast, Lil Wayne, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Kanye West, James Blake, Nas, Drake, 50 Cent, P Diddy, Lana Del Rey, Kool & The Gang and Patrice Rushen.

"Zee and I share the load," explains Cade'r. "Whether it's creating music or handling the business side of things, we do it together; and we do it to a high standard," Zee adds. Firm friends since primary school days, they're a tightly knit unit. "We're blessed in the fact that where one of us lacks a skill, the other excels in that area," he continues.

Over the last few years Times X Two have built a buzz for themselves online through the release of two well received mixtapes and collaborations with the likes of Raiza Biza, Tony Douglas, Spycc and Jane Deezy. As a result their reputation and considered talents, they've wowed nightclubs across Auckland, made two loved appearances at the Rhythm & Vines NYE festival, bodied stages around the country; and opened up for the likes of T-Pain, Kid Ink, and Salt'n'Pepa just to name a few. Once, Cade'r even freestyled on stage with the A$AP Mob.

With their families hailing from Zimbabwe and Iraq respectively, Times X Two navigate a new internationalism in both music and life in general. They've grown up equally informed by their family backgrounds, the tone of New Zealand, and of course the American, Canadian and English music cultures that inspire their creative output.

With impressive skills as music makers, for Times X Two, their goals are tangible dreams. As their earworm hooks, trunk-thumping beats, kinetically emotive verses and attitude attests to, they have the talent level, work ethic and artistic vision to rock stages across the globe.
