The Refreshment Room welcome the masters of blues & calypso Tom Rodwell & Storehouse. Unconventional, unscripted and frequently unhinged, Storehouse shows offer an electrifying journey through classic blues, gospel and calypso music in an infectiously dance-focussed way.

Enjoy dinner and a show or show only option. The Refreshment Room is a rustic Italian restaurant just five minutes from Titirangi or 25 minutes from Auckland city. We make almost all everything onsite. Experience our fresh, wholesome and true food; we incorporate organic, free range and seasonal ingredients into our meals. You will taste the difference of our freshly made food. The Red Room (venue for this gig) is downstairs at The Refreshment Room. A quirky, community dining and event space with a warm fire, bar and plenty of parking.

About Tom Rodwell and Storehouse -

Rodwell's band has operated internationally in different formats since 2003 and has supported roots music legends including Leon Russell, Derek Trucks & Susan Tedeschi, Kitty, Daisy & Lewis, Otis Taylor, Son of Dave, C.W. Stoneking, Trinity Roots, John Butler Trio, Charles Bradley​,​ as well as frequent club & festival appearances around New Zealand.

Rodwell & ​renowned jazz ​drummer Chris O'Connor are frequent collaborators of Don McGlashan, appearing on his best-selling and critically acclaimed 2015 album "Lucky Stars". As a producer, Rodwell recently released an LP of "Old Haunts", a collection of re-imagined early female blues​ tunes by singer Coco Davis, which is proving a sleeper hit amongst R&B fans in NZ. A current series of midwinter Storehouse band shows are a warm-up for new recording sessions later this year, says Rodwell. "We hope to release a vinyl record of new material in time for summer."
