Experience Christmas in Petone and come along to the Wellington region's first Christmas Parade, proudly brought to you by the Jackson Street Programme (JSP) and the Petone Lions Club!

We have over 50 fantastic floats, including many community floats, in this year's Twilight Christmas Parade. We don't want to ruin any surprises but there could be some Hurricanes accompanying Captain Hurricane this year...but shhh...keep it to yourself!!

The parade, which starts at 7pm, is along Jackson Street - Petone's main street - starting by Buick Street and ending at Petone Avenue.

After the parade, head to the JSP office - Historic Police Station, 274b Jackson Street - as we'll have entertainment everyone will love, and Mayor Ray Wallace will turn on the lights.

At 8:30pm - 10pm Santa's Grotto will be open behind the JSP office (in the Old Jail). It's a magical place where Santa and his elves will be making his home for four weeks before Christmas. The Grotto has free entry and a professional photographer will be taking photos for free also (photos will be emailed to you). The Grotto also has a present room - this is where unwrapped gifts can be left for underprivileged children.

So come along, young and old, and experience Christmas in Petone. We look forward to welcoming you to our place.
