Here are all the things you will need to know to get the most out of your UB40 Red Red Wine Vineyard Tour experience…

These times are guidelines and can change subject to unforeseen circumstances:
2.00pm Car park open
4.00pm Gates open
5.30pm Jason Kerrison
6.30pm Herbs
8.00pm UB40 (Ali, Astro and Mickey)
10.00pm Concert finishes (this time is approximate)

This is an outdoor concert. Please check the weather forecast before you leave home, and come prepared. This is New Zealand! We will play rain or shine, unless there are exceptional circumstances, at the discretion of the promoter.

Conditions of Entry:
Not permitted: Strictly no BYO alcohol. This is a licensed event. No umbrellas (even if it’s raining), tables, glass, metal cutlery, tents or sun shelters. Professional cameras, videos or recording equipment are not allowed. We can’t judge beforehand if your camera will be deemed professional. It’s up to security staff on the day and debate will not be entered into. Cameras with powerful zoom lenses or multiple lenses in a carry case are not allowed.

Cannot Take Out Of Venue:
Alcohol – the beverage outlets will close half an hour or earlier prior to the concert end to allow you to finish your drinks responsibly.

Car Parking
Available in large paddock alongside venue - $3/car for community fundraising for Omihi School. The car park is not a licensed area.

There is no parking allowed on State Highway 1 or Georges Rd.

Campervans

Shuttle available – inquire when booking in. Strictly no parking at Waitara Hills.

Disabled Parking
On site for vehicles displaying disabled sign.

Seating
There is no reserved seating. With GA tickets you may bring your own chairs, or a blanket to sit on. Low or sand chairs are a good option.

The venue will be divided into ‘low’ and ‘high’ seating areas. Please ensure you adhere to the zones when choosing your space and to be considerate of others around you (and behind you!)

No seating or picnic blankets will be allowed in front of the stage. Dancing will be happening!

Persons causing disturbance or refusing to comply with requests from Venue Management or Event and Security Personnel may be evicted without refund from the venue.

Rubbish and Bottle Top Disposal
Although there are rubbish collectors their task is made so much easier if you put your own rubbish in the bins provided and put the tops back on your wine bottle prior to putting in the bin.

Sun Smart
Please bring sun protection with you.

Food
You can bring your own food and sealed bottled water but no glass please. There will be food stalls on site with a variety of selections including vegetarian option.

Beverage
The event is fully licensed. Wine, beer and soft drink and water available. You are permitted to bring sealed bottled water only. Due to restrictions in our Special Licence no other beverage will be allowed.
All BYO alcohol will be confiscated.

Responsible Alcohol Consumption
The Waipara Hills concerts are about everyone enjoying themselves in a great environment and ensuring they keep all other concert goers in mind, so those patrons arriving to the concert, showing signs of intoxication will not be permitted into the venue.

Any patron in the venue showing signs of intoxication and any patron supplying liquor to an intoxicated person will be refused service and consequently monitored with the potential of being ousted from the venue.

Security
There will be professional show security on site and bag checks outside the venue before the entry gates.

Wrist banding
This will be done outside the venue – to satisfy the conditions of our Special (Liquor) Licence all persons aged 18 years and over will be wrist banded.

Eftpos
Available at all beverage outlets and there will be a cash out facility at the outlets.

Merchandising
Artist & show merchandising available. There will also be souvenir tour cups on sale for $2 with your first drink purchase, just bring it back to the bars for refills and at the end of the night you can keep the cup as a moment.

Children
One child 12 years and under will be given free admittance when accompanied by a parent or guardian who has purchased a ticket. (Note: there will be a bus ticket charge for children).
