WellSouth Primary Health Network is offering community education for residents with Pre-Diabetes.

It's called 'Walking Away from Diabetes' which is a free interactive group education programme for people who are at high risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes.

Walking Away is:
- Information and advice on how you can slow or eliminate the development of type 2 diabetes
- It is interactive and practical with the aim of increasing your motivation and confidence to change
- Relaxed and friendly environment to encourage and enable you to focus on reducing the risk of developing type 2 diabetes

Walking Away sessions are run in local areas in small groups. Walking Away is a 3-hour programme led by trained health professionals. If you or your family member is at risk of developing type 2 diabetes and have been diagnosed as pre-diabetic then this programme is for you.
