How often do you get told optimism will make you feel better? But knowing this and actioning it are two very different things. What are your foolproof tricks to help you to see the glass as half full? When is it ok to turn off your optimism?

It’s hard to know whether being buoyant and cheerful is beneficial if that isn’t our natural disposition. How does a forced optimism fit with our authenticity?

Psychology Today says ‘...tempering a sunny disposition with a small dose of realism or even pessimism might be the best way to build resilience and achieve one’s goals’.
