From the Buddhist perspective, the root of addictions is attachment.

Attachment is a deep sense of dissatisfaction that life, people and/or ourselves somehow aren’t enough and we need something “out there” that will make us happy. We can be attached to anything, and the deeper it goes, the more likely it is to become an addiction. Learn about the causes of attachment and ways to practice and develop new and positive ways of thinking to help have a happier inner life. Beginner level course led by Venerable Lozang Yönten, an experienced American nun in the Tibetan Buddhist tradition.

Drop-ins are welcome but please plan to stay for the whole day. Donation basis. Tea and coffee breaks provided, and there will be a mid-day break to go out for lunch.
