Where the Wild Woman Is

When being yourself is the most terrifying thing of all.

A dynamic solo show is set to get wild throughout the South Island this May. Where the Wild Woman Is, a new show chasing the momentum of feminine intuition and eviscerating the experience of self. Toeing the line between delight and torment in our daily lies. Where the Wild Woman Is… is well, where is she?

Following the success of award-winning solo show The Things We Do (Edgiest Show award Nelson Fringe 2015), Pat-A-Cake Productions return to the South Island in May to bring you round two: another one-wild-woman show. This time, created and performed by Ingrid Saker, a clown school graduate at John Bolton Clown School, Long Cloud Youth Theatre and Laboratoire de l'Acteur in Paris.

Ingrid Saker bands together with bouffons, wild whims and warriors to celebrate the highs and lows of ego [de]construction. Where physical theatre meets animal instinct, unleashing at last from a primal paradise the “absurd brilliance”. Ingrid Saker's impulsive performance indulges your fascination with what’s within and nourishes the sense of self.

I'm inviting you all to dance with your wild woman and to unchain your ego from the shackles of this crazy world.
