Blind Love Music decided to put on a Charity Gig after watching an episode of "Christchurch Dilemmas" which featured Dr Sue Bagshaw's 298 Youth Health Service. We believe music has the power to create change. So together with the amazing support of Churchills Live and the magic and musical talents of Adam Mc Grath (The Eastern), Blind Love, Ego Valve, Black Fox Trio, Out For Thea, Respire and Sarena Close are putting on an unforgettable night of music.

So get on the phone, jump on Facebook, even write a letter if you must and tell all your friends, whanau, workmates and even your friendly neighbour, because it is not a party unless you bring a crowd!

This event is to raise money for Dr Sue Bagshaw's Youth Hub project which will be built on currently vacant land in Manchester street. The Youth Hub will provide housing, food, mental health and other health services, rehabilitation and a sense of community to at-risk young people in Christchurch.

Dr Bagshaw is the chairperson of the Korowai Youth Well-Being Trust and currently runs the 298 Youth Health service on Bealey Ave. She saw a desperate need in Christchurch for a project such as the Youth Hub when she encountered unprecedented numbers of homeless and at-risk youth coming to the health service. Many have complex issues and little support to deal with them. Food that is currently donated and available to many of these youth they can't even eat because they have nowhere to cook it! They are living in absolutely appalling conditions and have little chance to escape from these challenging conditions anytime soon. Mental health services are currently incredibly poorly funded in Canterbury and the Youth Hub will provide such services to Youth.
