This block of four, three-hour long workshops will introduce you to the pleasures of Zen Doodling.

This is a contemplative, relaxing art form that uses structured and coordinated patterns as a means of creating beautiful and interesting pieces of art. It can look complicated, but anyone can do it as it comes from putting together small, simple steps. It’s a proven stress buster!

You’ll begin by creating collections of the basic units of the art and make a ‘pattern bank’ for future reference. Eventually, you will work your patterns into developed artworks, representational or abstract, complex or simple - your choice. You will get the most out of these workshops if you are willing to spend a little time developing your Zen Doodles at home between workshops - this, of course, is optional!

Some materials will be provided, including a good selection of colours in top quality Fluid and High Flow paints from the Golden range.

Your tutor, Morag Stokes, is an Art Educator with Golden Artist Colors and has extensive experience of tutoring a wind range of art classes and workshops. Cover image by Denise Kearney.
