Chinese medicine has a lot to offer those that are going through or have been through cancer treatment. This seminar will give you the knowledge and confidence to know whether you feel acupuncture might be of help to you or someone you know.

In this free seminar, we will take a look at:
- Current research findings on the efficacy of acupuncture for symptom relief when combined with conventional medical care and how these findings influence how we might choose to integrate acupuncture into cancer care.

- When to access acupuncture/ at what stage of cancer care.

- Understanding how acupuncture practitioners diagnose a patient's symptoms (tongue, pulse, complexion, symptoms, medical history).

- Allowing people to experience an acupuncture needle, especially if a fear of needles has been in the way of anyone using this therapy.

- An introduction and demonstration by our experienced teachers in the practice of qigong (che kung) and tai chi. These gentle movement therapies are great for promoting peace of mind and physical strength without being too taxing.

Please understand, we are not promoting acupuncture as a cure for cancer, but as a potential aid for cancer patients to cope with the side effects of conventional treatments, and to help with symptomatic relief of issues such as pain, nausea and fatigue.
