Auckland Action Against Poverty (AAAP) is excited to announce our first Film Fundraiser for 2017! AAAP is a direct action, advocacy, and education group standing up against the neoliberal agenda on jobs, welfare, and poverty.

Moonlight is an American drama film directed by Barry Jenkins which engages in the subjects of sexuality, race, and poverty. Moonlight won Best Picture at the 2017 Oscars.

AAAP's ongoing advocacy, direct action, education and campaigns could not happen without the generous support of individuals, unions, and groups who believe in our kaupapa.

AAAP refuses to accept government funding so we can be critical of the government's welfare policy which punishes the poor. We are a small organisation who reaches a lot of people. If you support our ongoing work, please come along and bring your friends and whānau.
