Anyone who has seen one of August Fields’ high-energy shows will know that what they bring to the stage is crowd-engaging power pop tunes with foundations in punk, rock and gospel.

Emerging Christchurch artists Volts have been making a big impact during their relatively short career. The group comprises of songstress Lorna Hay on vocals, Marc Royal on guitar and the recent addition of David Sutherland on drums. Volts create their own original and enigmatic blend of indie pop rock music.

The Response have crafted a live show that utilises every one of their limbs and will leave you wondering how two people can make so much noise. The band produce sounds ranging from reverb drenched banjo to synth pop and fuzzed-out guitars, brought together by a strong song-writing voice drawing influence from dominant indie acts such as Grizzly Bear, Arcade Fire and Sufjan Stevens.
