Artsenta artists collaborate with guest artist Lynn Taylor. Beginning with printmaking, the work will grow using mixed media to become something other: layered assemblages, cut and joined, describing characters and codes. Different parts create a whole - an art of second chances.

Artsenta is an award winning art studio for people who use mental health services, encouraging creativity in a supportive environment. Collaborations with artists in the wider community provide an opportunity for artists to experiment and collaborate.

Lynn Taylor is an artist and art facilitator who regularly works with community groups as an 'agent for change'. She says printmaking is the art of the unexpected but also a platform for ideas to be discussed, exchanged, tried, and tested.

The prints developed at Artsenta will form a body of work and a work of bodies - working with the figure and expanding to take in other materials and mediums. The resulting installation will be a collective effort displayed in Artsenta's Front Window.

Exhibition opening: 5pm Thursday 9 March
