Join Des Smith for a walk and talk on the reforestation of the Wellington hills and the type of species that we're planting. Based on the type of forest as described in the letters of a German migrant 150 years ago and translated into a book entitled 'A Place of Indescribable Beauty'.

This is a great chance to identify the trees that are so important bringing these forest back to life as they were in the past, and how we go about it as it is not as simple as it may seem.

The walk will be about 2 hours and afterwards, we suggest participants have lunch at the Rata Cafe.

The cost is the normal Zealandia entry fee unless you are a member, in which case it is free.
