St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Ashburton are recognising the 25th Anniversary of World Mental Health Day with a Brunch Cafe Church Service.

You are invited to this service of worship which is a brunch service beginning at 10am.

Our special guest will be - Pup Chamberlain former Police Officer. Pup now works as a health promoter for community and public health

Pup will share some sad and funny stories from his life’s experience focusing on the message of how important it is for people to talk to others in their community and with family and friends when times get tough. Pup says "we need to ask more questions and discuss issues more openly and without judgment.".

Mental Health is a growing concern for our community and country. St Andrew’s Presbyterian Church Ashburton is not only about the Spirit as a church they care about the Mind, Body and Soul. So to acknowledge World Mental Health Day they are holding a special church service on Sunday 8th October at 10am and an invitation is extended to everyone to join them for worship.

This won't be any ordinary service it will be a very much a Mind, Body and Soul service as the parish slogan is “Reshaping Lives. There will be something for the Body in the service as this will be a Brunch Café service. The service will be a service of worship so the Spirit and Soul will be nourished.

With it being the Sunday nearest to World Mental Health Day the parish are very excited as Pup Chamberlain is going to be their special guest and his message will make your mind think as it is on Mental Well-being.
