Pirate and Queen Productions and the Wellington Bluegrass Society are proud to present three of Ireland’s best traditional musicians – Caitlín Nic Gabhann, Ciarán Ó Maonaigh, and Cathal Ó Curráin, making their first tour of New Zealand.

Caitlín is a three times All-Ireland concertina champion and an accomplished step-dancer who has toured the world many times over with Riverdance.

Ciarán hails from Donegal, Ireland, a region famous for its fiddle players. He’s best known for his work with the band Fidil, through which he released three highly praised albums.

Cathal Ó Curráin is a young, multi-instrumentalist and singer of exceptional talent. He has won prestigious awards for his Sean-nós (old style) singing, and in 2015 he won the International Pan Celtic Fiddle Competition. Cathal also plays banjo, mandolin and bouzouki and has worked with leading Irish artists Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, Kila, and Dermot Byrne.

The trio will be appearing with special guests, to be announced.
