Christmas in the Square - Manawatu's Christmas Concert & Carol's Event - All things Santa for our Christmas in the Square Extravaganza - and excitingly this year we feature the Rodger Fox Big Band, and the Community Choirs.

(Wet weather venue - The Regent on Broadway).

Every year several thousand people gather in the Square to enjoy a community concert including a vast array of Christmas songs and Carols.

Christmas in the Square is a free event for the community to celebrate Christmas as one, promote sharing and giving, peace and joy, and uniting people with a festive community spirit.

There’ll be loads for children to do with free activities, prizes & giveaways, a massively cool Christmas Night Market and loads of choice eats with the Food-Truck Fiesta.

This year the Best Big Band in NZ is back to headline Christmas in The Square on Saturday 16th December.

From 4:30pm to 9:15pm there’s an Extravaganza of Entertainment on the big stage featuring: The Award Winning - Rodger Fox Big Band with vocalists Ray Woolf, Erna Ferry, Amy McKenna, Grant Sullivan, Haydn Linsley and a special appearance from Santa Claus.

Also performing are legendry Palmerston North original soul funk ska band, Truly Made, Virtuoso Violinist - Hannah Fang and Friends, Vocal Quartet - You’Nique, Local DJ Extraordinaire - Mr Dirty Hairy, Superstar Kids entertainers -Kiwi Bop and performances from incredibly talented youth, Carson Tarre & Band and vocal soloist Caitlin Comer.

Finishing the night will be a Carols by Candlelight set performed by a 50 person Palmerston North Combined Choir conducted by Guy Donaldson.
