Held alongside Chromacon 2017, Chroma Connect is a multidisciplinary creative industry summit focused on professional development and the cross-pollinaton of ideas.

Featuring masterclasses, panel discussions, case studies and more presented by a diverse group of international and local industry leaders, Chroma Connect paints a big picture view of the ever-changing interconnected worlds of technology, arts and entertainment. Key areas to be examined include established and emerging traditional/ digital creative practices, transmedia strategies and business models, as well as various cultures, industries, markets, and professional pathways. Through the ‘inspiration of aspirations’, Chroma Connect enables participants to explore past insights, analyse present challenges, and identify future opportunities.

The 2-day programme is chock full of amazing international and local speakers presenting masterclasses, talks, panels and concluding with a Creative Roundtable. Held in the Goodman Fielder Room, Aotea Centre, tickets are VERY limited, don't miss out!

Ojiro Fumoto aka 'Moppin' (JP) - Creator of the award-winning indie hit game Downwell. Presented by Asia New Zealand Foundation.

John Mueller (US) - Art Director at Blizzard Entertainment, creator of OINK - Heaven's Butcher and founder and creator of Skyshine's Bedlam. Presented by Takapuna Art Supplies.

Kei Acedera (CA) - Award-winning artist specialising in concept art, visual development, and character design for film, Art Director at Imaginism studios.

Bobby Chiu (CA) - Award-winning artist, Founder and Creative Director of Imaginism Studios, Schoolism and host of the Chiustream.

David Follett (AU) - Prolific character designer, comic creator and illustrator. Creator of Uncle Silas published by Dark Horse Comics. Presented by Watermark Ltd.

Local Speakers:
Dinosaur Polo Club - A Wellington based independent game development studio, creators of the critically acclaimed indie game Mini Metro.

Toby Morris - An Auckland-based cartoonist, illustrator, author and comic artist, best known for his regular non-fiction comic The Pencilsword and his cartoons for RNZ.

Mukpuddy - An artist driven 2D animation studio that specialises in making high-quality cartoons for a wide audience. Mukpuddy began in 2002 with Ryan Cooper, Tim Evans, and Alex Leighton as the original owners. Creators of The Barefoot Bandits, now in production for its second season.
