I'm excited to invite you and your households to our next unique chalk-art event! Come be a citizen of our pop-up Colouring Book, CITY stands for 'Colour In Tauranga Your way'.

This time, we're creating a nature scene in Masonic Park, The Strand. Our team of volunteers (our 'CITY council') provide the chalk outline on the pavement - you draw and colour to your heart's content to help finish it together. All ages, families, individuals are welcome to make their mark, help us finish the artwork then stand back and be proud of what we created together!*

Inspired by the children's book 'Hemi Dances' (by Ron Bacon, illustrated by Pyes Pa artist Sharon O'Callaghan), draw an NZ bush scene to inspire our breakdancing hero, Hemi.

- Free chalk sponsored by Poppa's Chalk*
- Spot prizes every 15 minutes ***
- Book readings of the featured story
- Street dance demo by Urban Dance -
- Special sticker in return for your feedback before you leave.

Like our Facebook page for updates!

Want to help? I'm seeking adults and young people age 18+ to make up our team of volunteers.
Various roles available and you get the joy of creating these special events for others, plus team T-shirt etc. Lots of roles available: art, design, safety, promotion, etc. Message me and tell me your skills. xx Lillybeth - Colouring Book CITY Mayor

*Footpath chalk is free to the public thanks to Poppa's Chalk, but if you want special shaped chalk, you can buy this at our events for $6/pack. It makes great gifts for little hands, is non-toxic and gives a few dollars back into sustaining our events.
