Meet our crew opposite the New Zealand Maritime Museum, Viaduct Harbour (Auckland CBD) where you will be guided down to the Dolphin Explorer.

Did you know you can see whales and dolphins right on Auckland's doorstep?

As part of the Department of Conservation's Conservation Week, join us on our free Open Mornings aboard our research vessel Dolphin Explorer - the perfect place to channel your inner marine biologist!

Take the opportunity to come down and check out the marine research and conservation that is happening right here in Auckland and the Hauraki Gulf Marine Park.

On the day:
- Catch up with our Marine Biologist crew and find out what we do!
- Find out about the latest research happening onboard and the results of recent studies
- Discover how being a passenger on our safaris helps to contribute towards conservation
- Meet the local marine ranger for Department of Conservation and find out how you can help look after marine mammals
- Check out the captain's tech gear including VR, hydrophones and more!
- Competitions, spot prizes and safari specials for the afternoon's trip

Please note that the Dolphin Explorer will not be leaving its berth for the 3-hour Open Morning drop-in sessions. The scheduled daily safari will be departing at 1:30pm (weather permitting).

This event is part of Conservation Week 2017 and only happens once a year so don't miss out.
