Expert talk.

Otago Museum's ancient cuneiforms are in the spotlight again. Assyriologists Associate Professor Wayne Horowitz and Peter Zilberg from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem are returning to Otago Museum to undertake further research on our collection of cuneiform tablets and inscriptions.

Wayne is the leader of the Cuneiform in Australia and New Zealand (CANZ) project, which aims to translate all cuneiform inscriptions in New Zealand and Australian collections.

They will speak about their findings and the significance of the Museum's cuneiforms, revealing the stories discovered in these renowned medico-magical tablets.

5:30pm, Wednesday 30 August.
