Walking Guide - Pete Ozich

Diamond Harbour track builder extraordinaire Pete Ozich explains about the last four years of planting and track development and the vision for the future that will transform Morgan's and Sam's gullies into indigenous native forest. Pete will outline the many environmental challenges which include: fire risk, weeds, erosion, predator control and land protection, and no doubt entertain you with his hilarious stories of how he built the incredible School Track (probably the tidiest track on Banks Peninsula!) and his novel methods of engaging volunteer labor. The photo here shows the same spot four years later and the amazing growth that has occurred in that time.

Duration: 2 hours

Walk difficulty: Walk - Partly formed track, some up and down
