Electric Vehicles are returning to the University on Thursday, 4 May as part of the Leading The Charge road trip.

Electric vehicles (EVs) will be coming to the University of Waikato's Student Centre on Thursday 4th May at 11:30am for display in the front of W Block, School of Graduate Research.

The road trip is running from 19th April to 10th May and events are being held all through New Zealand. The Centre for Environmental, Resources and Energy Law (CEREL) are supporting this initiative through this free event and would encourage all students and others to come and see what driving the future will be!

This event is organised by The Better NZ Trust who are working together with the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA) to promote Electric Vehicles in New Zealand.

EECA is promoting electric vehicles in New Zealand as part of the Government’s electric vehicles programme; EVs take advantage of New Zealand’s renewable electricity and create 80% fewer CO2 emissions than a petrol or diesel car
