Join us, for this exciting collaborative event: Empower!

What is Empower?
Empower is an Auckland University flagship speaker evening showcasing women in leadership to inspire students and young professionals to create social change hosted by a collaboration of student clubs. Our main goal is to inspire young professionals and students across all faculties to create social change, so we would love you to come along and take advantage of this unique opportunity!

There will be a diverse range of top female leaders in NZ on themes that haven’t been covered extensively in the past, dinner will be provided alongside extra goodies, and there will be an opportunity to network with peers and professionals with similar interests at the end of the night.

What are we discussing?
Over our last few years, there has a growing interest in sustainability in almost every sector, whatever that definition of 'sustainability' may be. From our perspective, it encompasses economic, cultural, social and environmental avenues.

We aim to demonstrate to the attendees that there are opportunities that allow people to pursue their passions in these areas. We also want to show that there is a huge focus on "corporate social responsibility" within all organisations, nationally and internationally.

The evening will cover a broad range of themes, of which some are:
- Women in leadership
- Sustainability
- Corporate Social Responsibility
- Innovation

We have some amazing guest speakers organised for the night from a diverse range of industries and backgrounds:
- Karen Silk - General Manager at Westpac
- Gerda Kuschel - Founder of Emission Impossible
- Roseline Klein - Sustainability Manager at Watercare
- Elena Trout - Current President of IPENZ (Institute of Professional Engineers New Zealand)

When: Thursday 25th May 5:45 pm
Who: Open to all faculties, as well as non-students, and high school students!
