Fermentation is a pretty hot topic right now, with many different industries pushing the boundaries of this magical metabolic process. It is particularly important in chocolate making and with the rise of craft chocolate, chocolate makers are starting to question the old world's concepts of 'good' and 'bad' fermentation.

Join Luke from The Chocolate Bar and Asher from Hillside Kitchen and Cellar for a particularly unique tasting event, where eight bean-to-bar chocolates will be paired with eight concoctions from Hillside's new menu of fermented beverages.

Asher and his team have been fermenting, ageing, brewing, infusing, blending behind the scenes and have developed an amazing selection of unique, non-alcoholic drinks. The full range are made from scratch, made in small batches and reflective of their base ingredients. Some are simple, some are blends of multiple ferments and others get a last minute infusion of herbs from the Hillside garden.

Guests will also receive some of Hillside's house-made bread and butter to share (continuing the theme of fermentation!)
