Born out of recognition that the gap between rural and urban.

There are less New Zealanders getting the opportunity to see and understand what goes on over the farm fence. This event is run by farmers along other local community support on a local farm.

It is a free family day, that is aimed to be enjoyable and a rural experience.

The admission is free but you can buy a sausage sandwich to support the local youth group and there is a coffee cart on site.

Visitors will have opportunity to experience some of the activities that occur on farm. A walk around sites with farmers on hand explaining what's going on.

Come and talk to some farmers you're most welcome!

Dairy NZs Rosie the cow will be onsite.

Included at the event are:
- Shearing sheep
- A working sheepdog
- Goats
- Gumboot throwing competition
- Colouring competition
- Calf rearing
- Tractors
- Cows being Milked
- Milk tanker

You will need to wear sturdy shoes or gumboot as you will be walking over paddocks.
