Come and celebrate spring time!

Christchurch’s awesome Halo Venue in Riccarton plays host to an extravaganza of hilarity and awesomeness - Come and witness the madness and high energy stylings of four nationally and internationally acclaimed comedians!

Your MC Keith Preene:
Shay Horay brings you his alter ego Keith Preene. Recently returned from epic gigs at the Coff’s Harbour Buskers Festival in Australia. Before that he was touring street performance
festivals in Canada. As his character “the Rubberband Boy”, Shay is known as one of the world's most unusual performers. As “Keith Preene” a bargain basement version of Selwyn Toogood (or Steve Parr/ Simon Barnett/ Jason Gunn.

Best Comedy Award at the Dunedin Fringe.
Peoples Choice Award at buskers fest
And has given away more meat packs than you have had bbq's

Justin 'Rusty' White:
Fresh from his NZ tour of his critically acclaimed show 'I Learnt Something Once'

He hates it when people bring it up, but Justin "Rusty" White is a critically acclaimed, multi award winning comedian. Who wouldn't be embarrassed by descriptions of his "virtually uninterrupted hour of laughter" show I Learnt Something Once like "a gem of a show", or the somewhat OTT "finely polished masterwork" (Theatreview). How would you like being described as "can only be described as hilarious" (ArtMurmurs Wgtn). How would you recover from being "undoubtedly the highlight of the night" (Caclin magazine) then going on to win Best Comedian (2016 Chch Comedy Awards)? All right, we get it! Jeez. Rusty wishes people would stop going on about it…

"I don't want to labour the point, but this is a funny, funny, funny, funny, funny show" - Theatreview

Stop it.

Steve is no typical comedian, basically because he doesn't speak. He uses props, music and his general goofiness to entertain your senses. Far from normal and a master of making the absurd funny. A daring delinquent, wearing an orange beanie and black sweater, Steve will make you bust a gut with laughter. Made in Christchurch, Steve brings audiences an experience they will never forget.

Recently performing his show “This is Steve” to rave reviews at the Dunedin Fringe Festival, GoMedia Comedy Carnival and Nelson Fringe Festival.

“This is Steve hits me in the same way an album by the Ramones does.” - echosfromthewings

“Ludicrously, Side-splittingly Funny.” - What's up Christchurch

"A consistent hour of comedy that I can promise you is unlike anything you have experienced before”

“Pure, unadulterated physical comedy” - Theatreview

Best Solo show (2017 Nelson Fringe Show)
Best out of town show (2017 Nelson Fringe Show)

Edgiest show (2017 Nelson Fringe Show)

Fergus Aitken:
Regularly touring NZ with his well-known characters, Fergus loves observing the weirdness of us all and also visiting his second home of Christchurch. Having played in some truly terrible and bloody magnificent places in about 15 countries, he has juggled with orchestras, mimed on the radio and received two standing ovations at a nudist festival. His stand-up is often the truth.

“Manic Physicality… knicker-wettingly funny.” -Theatreview

“One of Wellington’s most highly regarded headline comedians…”
- Scott Blanks, The Classic Comedy Club, Auckland
