This two-day intensive LomiLomi Traditional Hawaiian Massage course is for people with an interest in learning hands-on massage techniques. After completing this course, you will be able to give an amazing massage therapy ranging from a light, gentle, nurturing treatment to a very deep tissue massage that will leave your most stressed-out client with the feeling that a whole layer of stress and tension has been lifted from their entire body. Over the two-day course, you will learn about the benefits of lomilomi massage, basic knowledge of muscles, massage techniques, sequences for whole body massage, body draping and how to start a practice. This course is approximately 15% Theory and 85% Hands-on.

This is a beautiful course which will increase your knowledge and practice of Hawaiian Lomilomi massage. The learning sessions for each day is intense as you will appreciate lomilomi is "a full body massage".

Lomilomi means energy shifting touch therapy , and is a holistic approach for the mind body & emotions (spirit). Lomilomi encompasses the whole person by bringing the body into spiritual, mental and emotional alignment and well-being, enhancing physical harmony. Lomilomi restores functional mobility to the body, relieves musculoskeletal pain, and brings the body’s energies into balance.
The lomilomi routine is the same for Male & female.

This course is suitable for anyone with an interest in traditional massage, no experience is necessary. It is also suitable for massage therapists who want to add lomilomi to their current practices.

Tradition Hawaiian healing of the body was done through lomilomi massage, and Lau’au’lapa’au, the use of medicinal herbs and plants. Healing of the mind was done through Ho’oponopono, spiritually ‘erasing’ the negative occurrences of the past so that one could move on in his or her life, and through Hawaiian values that teach the skills needed to sustain yourself through times of stress and crisis. Spiritual healing was done through oli, chant, and pule, prayer.
