e Uru warmly invites you to a series of evening performances as part of the Heat: Solar Revolutions events:

6pm: Hot off the (custom-made raku) kiln, Te Uru and Public Share will be hosting drinks and nibbles using mugs fired at Te Toi Uku earlier in the day. The mugs are based on a never-produced Crown Lynn design and use fragments of Crown Lynn pottery left behind after the factory’s closure in 1989.

7pm: Rachel Shearer's improvised performance of 'Wiriwiri' uses solar energy to power a single channel audio file, oscillating the sonic emissions in response to the variable intensities of energy received from the sun.

7.45 until sunset: Australian artist-duo David Haines and Joyce Hinterding’s performance 'Transmission from the Sun' will include a composition between earth and sky that involves the manipulation of live transmissions of radio waves using custom-built antennae that enables listening to the sound of the ionosphere, magnetics fields the local electromagnetic environment and the Milky Way.

Monique Jansen will also be performing 'Overcast,' a live and growing drawing performance using bio-char (charcoal) in the gallery until 6pm when the Rooftop events begin.
